Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the Crock Pot, laying them flat for even cooking.
  • Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix evenly over the chicken to infuse with flavor.
  • Add the au jus gravy mix for depth and richness in the sauce.
  • Place the unsalted butter on top of the chicken and seasonings to melt during cooking.
  • Add the pepperoncini peppers and distribute evenly.

Cooking

  • Cover the Crock Pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
  • Shred the chicken in the Crock Pot using two forks, mixing it well with the sauce.
