Ingredients
  

For the Coating

  • 1 pound chicken tenders Pat them dry with paper towels
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs Beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use panko for extra crunch
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray Cooking spray For spraying the air fryer

For the Sauce

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels to help the coating stick better.
  • Set up the breading station: In one bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. In a second bowl, whisk the eggs until well beaten. Place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  • Coat the chicken tenders by dipping each into the flour mixture, then the eggs, and finally the breadcrumbs. Set aside.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for optimal crispiness.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the coated chicken tenders in a single layer.
  • Air fry the chicken tenders for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through until golden and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach a minimum internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • While the chicken is cooking, mix honey and buffalo sauce in a bowl.
  • Once cooked, remove the chicken from the air fryer and toss it in the honey buffalo sauce to coat evenly.

Serving

  • Serve hot and enjoy your crispy chicken tenders with extra drizzle of honey buffalo sauce and side dipping sauces.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider double-coating the tenders. Store leftover tenders in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. To reheat, use the air fryer for best results.
