Ingredients
  

For the cauliflower bites

  • 1 medium head cauliflower Cut into bite-sized florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with almond or gluten-free flour
  • 1 cup water To make the batter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs For coating the florets
  • as needed cooking spray or olive oil For spraying in the air fryer

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash the cauliflower thoroughly, remove the leaves and core, and cut into bite-sized florets.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  • Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
  • Roll the battered florets in the breadcrumbs until fully covered.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for a few minutes.

Cooking

  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the breaded cauliflower bites in a single layer in the basket.
  • Spray the tops of the cauliflower bites with more cooking spray or olive oil.
  • Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Check for desired crispness; cook a few additional minutes if needed.
  • Once golden brown and crispy, remove from the basket and serve immediately.

Notes
