Preparation

  • Wash and dry the apples. Remove the cores and slice them into thin, fry-like wedges.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  • Place the breadcrumbs in a separate shallow dish.
  • Dip each apple slice into the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  • Then, dip it into the beaten eggs, letting the excess drip off.
  • Finally, coat the apple slice in breadcrumbs, ensuring it is well-covered.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • Arrange the apple fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap.
  • Spray the tops of the apple fries lightly with cooking spray.
  • Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
