Ingredients

  • 4 sticks whole-milk string cheese
  • 12 large pitted black olives
  • 1 ball pizza dough (14 to 16 ounces, homemade or store-bought)
  • 2/3 to 3/4 cup marinara sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 500°F. If using a pizza stone, preheat it inside the oven.
  • Pull apart the string cheese into thin strips resembling threads.
  • Slice the black olives lengthwise, keeping eight halves for spider bodies and slicing the remaining halves into four strips for legs.
  • Roll or stretch the pizza dough into a 12 to 14-inch circle and transfer it to a baking sheet or pizza peel.
  • Prick the dough all over with a fork to prevent bubbles during baking.
  • Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
  • Bake the pizza for about 3 minutes on a stone or 5 minutes on a baking sheet until the crust is dry and slightly golden.
  • Quickly lay down the string cheese strips in a spider web pattern and place the olive spiders on top.
  • Return the pizza to the oven for another 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese melts and holds the web shape.
  • Let cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm.
