For the cream sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream Adds richness to the sauce.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can substitute with other cheeses.

For the mashed potatoes

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes Use your preferred recipe.

Preparation

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet, sprinkle with paprika, and cook until pink and opaque (3-4 minutes).

Make the Cream Sauce

  • In a separate saucepan, heat the heavy cream over low heat.
  • Add the grated Parmesan, minced garlic, and fresh thyme, stirring gently until melted.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

Combine and Serve

  • Add the cooked shrimp to the cream sauce and stir well.
  • Serve over a scoop of warm mashed potatoes, drizzling extra sauce on top.
