Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • Colander
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces uncooked pasta any type
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 tablespoon butter softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley optional, to taste
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese optional, for serving

Instructions

  • Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  • While pasta cooks, cut cream cheese into smaller pieces for quicker melting. Microwave briefly if needed until soft.
  • Return drained pasta to the pot. Add softened cream cheese and butter, cover for about a minute to let it melt.
  • Remove the lid and stir in garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and parsley. Mix well.
  • Gradually add reserved pasta water, about 1/4 cup at a time, stirring until you achieve a creamy consistency. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • If desired, add grated Parmesan cheese for extra richness. Serve immediately.
