Ingredients
  

Soup Base

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 cups water

Main Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 oz) frozen potstickers or dumplings
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (e.g., carrots, bell peppers, bok choy)

Seasoning and Garnish

  • 2 each green onions, sliced
  • soy sauce to taste Adjust according to preference.
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and fragrant.

Cooking

  • Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and water, and bring to a boil.
  • Gently add the frozen potstickers and mixed vegetables into the pot.
  • Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Season with soy sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with sliced green onions and fresh cilantro if desired.

Notes

Feel free to mix and match vegetables based on what you have. When storing, soup can last up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
