Ingredients
  

For the Pizza Crust

  • 1 cup cottage cheese Drain excess liquid for firmer crust.
  • 1 cup almond flour Gluten-free alternative.
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder for the crust.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • to taste pinch salt

Toppings (To taste)

  • tomato sauce Spread evenly across the base.
  • cheese (mozzarella, goat cheese, etc.) Use your preferred type.
  • vegetables (bell peppers, onions, spinach, etc.) Add your favorites for topping.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, almond flour, egg, baking powder, and salt until a pliable dough forms.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  • Spread the dough onto the baking sheet, aiming for even thickness with thicker edges.

Baking

  • Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Once out of the oven, add your desired toppings, including tomato sauce and cheese.
  • Return the pizza to the oven for an additional 10 minutes to melt the cheese.
  • Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding spices to the dough like garlic powder or Italian herbs. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days.
