  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • as needed cup warm water For dough consistency.
  • to taste fresh herbs Optional for added flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Stir the mixture until it forms a dough. If the mixture feels dry, add warm water slowly until you achieve a manageable consistency.
  • Add olive oil and honey or maple syrup (if using), mixing well.
  • Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for a few minutes until smooth.
  • Divide the dough into small balls, depending on desired flatbread size.
  • Roll each ball into a flat disc, around ¼ inch thick.
  • Place the flatbread on the preheated skillet and cook for about 2–3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  • Remove from the skillet and cover with a clean towel to keep warm while you cook the remaining bread.
