Preparation

  • Begin by toasting the slices of bread until they're golden brown and crispy.
  • While the bread is toasting, cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  • Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the avocado and mash it with a fork until you reach your desired consistency, whether chunky or smooth.

Assembly

  • Once the bread has finished toasting, spread a generous layer of cottage cheese on each slice.
  • Top the cottage cheese with a layer of the mashed avocado.
  • For added flavor and presentation, sprinkle your optional toppings over the toast.
