Ingredients
  

For the Brownies

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided Divided into two halves, with half used for melting.
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Use for the brownie mixture.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature Bring eggs to room temperature for better mixing.
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk Adds creaminess to the brownies.
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Hot Fudge Sauce (Optional)

  • 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease an 8×8 square pan with butter and line it with parchment paper.

Mixing

  • Melt 1/2 cup of the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring in 15-second intervals until completely melted.
  • In another bowl, melt the remaining butter and mix it with the granulated sugar using a whisk.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and melted chocolate until just combined.
  • Gradually add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, folding in gently until just incorporated.
  • Mix in the remaining 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.

Cooling and Serving

  • Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment paper.
  • Slice into squares and serve, optionally drizzling with hot fudge sauce.

To ensure perfect brownies, use room temperature eggs, avoid overmixing, and check for doneness as baking times may vary.
