Ingredients
  

For the Bars

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted Make sure it's slightly cooled.
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs Should be at room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

For the Glaze

  • ½ cup powdered sugar For glaze.
  • 2 tablespoons milk For glaze.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another large bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until creamy.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir gently to combine, avoiding over-mixing.
  • Fold in the cinnamon into the batter.
  • Layer half of the batter into the pan, then dollop the remaining batter on top and swirl with a knife.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Avoid overbaking.
  • Cool in the pan before glazing.

Glazing and Serving

  • Mix powdered sugar and milk to create a glaze, then drizzle over the cooled bars.
  • Slice into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes
