Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan lightly.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and the first teaspoon of cinnamon together until combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until soft and smooth.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  • Transfer the donut dough into a piping bag or a zip-top bag with a corner snipped off.
  • Fill each donut cavity about halfway full, ensuring even distribution.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the donuts are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • While the donuts bake, combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.

Coating

  • Once the donuts are out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes.
  • While they’re still warm, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat fully.

Notes

Allow donuts to cool completely before storing to prevent moisture build-up. Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to 1 week.
