  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough You can use homemade dough if preferred.

For the filling

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened Can substitute with margarine for dairy-free.
  • Optional chopped nuts or raisins For added texture and flavor.

For the glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk Adjust for desired glaze thickness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it on a clean surface.
  • In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon together until well combined.
  • Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the buttered dough, ensuring even coverage.
  • If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts or raisins over the cinnamon sugar.
  • Starting at the wide end, roll the dough tightly into a log.
  • Slice the rolled dough into individual pieces about 1-inch thick.
  • Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring space between them.

Baking

  • Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Glazing

  • While the rolls bake, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
  • Once the rolls are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls before serving.
