Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure butter is at room temperature.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Mix-ins

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, until well combined.

Baking

  • Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients. Mix just until combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  • Using a tablespoon, drop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are light golden brown and the centers are soft.
  • Let cookies cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
