Christmas Tree Sheet Cake Pops
Delightful festive treats that resemble charming Christmas trees, made by crumbling cake mixed with frosting, shaping into cones, and coating with green candy melts.
Ingredients
Cake Base
- 1 box cake mix (your favorite flavor) Choose a flavor like chocolate or vanilla.
- as directed serving Eggs, water, and oil Follow the instructions on the cake mix box.
Decoration
- 1 cup frosting Use a matching or complementary flavor.
- 2 cups Green candy melts For coating the cake pops.
- 12 sticks Lollipop sticks One stick for each cake pop.
- to taste Sprinkles For decoration.
- 1 block Styrofoam block To display the cake pops.
Instructions
Baking the Cake
- Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions, adding eggs, water, and oil.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake as directed. Allow the cake to cool completely on a wire rack.
Creating Cake Pops
- Crumble the cooled cake into a large mixing bowl until pieces are small and uniform.
- Add the frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until well combined, achieving a dough-like consistency.
- Shape the mixture into cone-shaped trees.
- Dip the end of each lollipop stick into leftover frosting, then insert it into the base of each tree.
- Melt the green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl until fully melted and smooth.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted candy, coating completely, then allow excess to drip off.
- Before the coating hardens, decorate with colorful sprinkles.
- Insert the sticks into the Styrofoam block and let the pops set until the candy coating is firm.
