These festive popcorn balls combine crunchy popcorn with gooey marshmallows, colorful M&M candies, and cheerful sprinkles, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients
  

Popcorn Base

  • 1/2 cup unpopped popcorn kernels Use fresh kernels for best popping results.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted for mixing.
  • 1 bag (10 ounce) miniature marshmallows Will be melted with butter.

Mix-Ins

  • 1 cup red and green M&M candies For color and sweetness.
  • 1/3 cup festive sprinkles Add to the mixture for decoration.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pop the popcorn kernels using your preferred method (air popper, stovetop, or microwave) and place in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a large pot, melt the unsalted butter over medium-low heat.
  • Once the butter is melted, add in the miniature marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth.

Combining

  • Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the popped popcorn and stir well to coat.
  • Let the mixture cool slightly, then fold in the red and green M&Ms and festive sprinkles.

Forming the Balls

  • Spray your hands with non-stick cooking spray and take about one cup of the mixture to form a ball.
  • Repeat until all mixture is formed into balls.

Setting and Serving

  • Place the formed popcorn balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let cool completely until set.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days.
