Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

For Dipping and Topping

  • 1 cup chocolate chips for dipping
  • Festive sprinkles for topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream the softened unsalted butter with the granulated sugar and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the vanilla extract and the egg to the butter mixture, mixing until thoroughly combined.
  • Gradually pour the flour mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.

Baking

  • Drop generous spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between cookies.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are soft.
  • Allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.

Decorating

  • Melt the chocolate chips and dip half of each cookie into the melted chocolate.
  • Sprinkle the dipped cookies with festive sprinkles while the chocolate is still warm.
  • Let the cookies sit until the chocolate has fully set.
