Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Dusting

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.
  • In another bowl, combine the wet ingredients: eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

Baking

  • Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and roll them in powdered sugar.
  • Place the sugared dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are set but the centers are slightly soft.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For a more gourmet touch, drizzle chocolate or caramel sauce over the cookies before serving. You can also add chocolate chips to the dough for an extra chocolatey flavor.
