Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Mixture

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs Ensure they are at room temperature.

For the Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Chocolate

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them apart.

Baking

  • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes
