semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, corn starch, and salt. Whisk until evenly mixed and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, blending until well combined.
Gradually fold the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until almost fully combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a handful for topping.
Transfer the dough to the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Scatter the reserved chocolate chips on top.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the edges are golden brown. Allow to cool in the pan for about an hour before cutting into bars.
