Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and honey. Beat together until pale and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
