Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies
Chocolate cake mix cookies combine the rich flavor of chocolate cake with the chewy texture of cookies, making them a delicious dessert option.
Ingredients
Cookie Base
- 1 box box of chocolate cake mix
- 2 large large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Mix-ins
- 1 cup chocolate chips optional
- 1/2 cup nuts optional
For Dusting
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for dusting, optional
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined, and don't overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- If you choose to add chocolate chips or nuts, fold them into the cookie dough gently.
- Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges look set but the centers are still soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- If desired, dust the cooled cookies with powdered sugar for a sweet finishing touch.
