  • 3 quarts chicken stock Use good quality for best flavor, homemade preferred.

Main Ingredients

  • 1 head napa cabbage, sliced Slice into manageable pieces.
  • 4 slices fresh ginger root Peel thinly to extract maximum flavor.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients: 3 quarts of chicken stock, 1 head of napa cabbage sliced, and 4 slices of fresh ginger root.

Cooking

  • In a large pot, pour in the chicken stock and bring it to a rolling boil over high heat.
  • Once boiling, add in the sliced napa cabbage and ginger slices.
  • Stir gently and allow the mixture to come back to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • Taste the soup, and add salt or seasoning if desired.
  • Ladle the hot soup into bowls, ensuring even distribution of cabbage and ginger.
