  • 1-2 tablespoons chili paste or sauce adjust for your spice preference
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce adds depth and umami
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar provides a subtle tang
  • 1 teaspoon sugar balances the heat
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish and added freshness
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Preparation

  • Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until just tender. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic to the hot oil and sauté for about one minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Stir in your chosen chili paste or sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar, and mix until well combined.
  • Add the cooked noodles to the pan, tossing them in the sauce to ensure even coating.
  • Cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes while stirring frequently until warmed through.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and serve.
