  • 1/4 cup diced green chilies Adjust the amount based on spice preference.
  • 1 tablespoon butter For frying the onions.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients; having everything ready will make the cooking process smooth.
  • In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onions and sauté until soft and translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Stir in the diced green chilies and tomatoes, cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add the milk and raise the heat slightly to bring it to a gentle simmer.
  • Gradually sprinkle in the shredded cheese, stirring continuously as it melts.
  • Once melted and smooth, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Remove from heat and transfer the dip to a serving bowl.
