Cuisine American
- 2 chicken breasts boneless, skinless
- 4 large tortillas whole wheat, flour, or gluten-free
- 1 avocado
- 1 cup lettuce shredded
- 1 medium tomato diced
- 1/2 red onion sliced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese cheddar or your favorite variety
- 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Prepare the Chicken:
Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
Prep the Veggies:
While the chicken is cooking, slice the avocado, dice the tomato, and thinly slice the red onion.
Shred the lettuce for that fresh, crunchy bite.
Assemble the Wraps:
Lay the warmed tortillas flat and spread a thin layer of sour cream (or Greek yogurt) in the center of each one.
Add a handful of shredded lettuce, diced tomato, avocado slices, and red onion.
Top with a generous portion of sliced chicken and a sprinkle of shredded cheese.
Wrap and Serve:
Carefully fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly to seal everything inside.
Slice the wrap in half and serve immediately, or wrap it up for a meal on the go!
