Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  • Take a generous tablespoon of the chicken mixture and place it at the wide end of each triangle.
  • Fold the dough over the filling and roll it up tightly, ensuring that you seal the edges well.

Baking

  • Place the chicken pillows on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them evenly apart.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the dough turns golden brown and flaky.

Making the Sauce

  • While the pillows bake, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until it’s lightly golden.
  • Slowly whisk in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  • Stir in additional Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper to taste, then remove from heat.

Serving

  • Once the chicken pillows are done baking, serve them hot, drizzled with the creamy Parmesan sauce.

Notes

You can prepare the filling ahead of time and store it in the fridge until you’re ready to assemble the pillows. For a healthier version, use whole wheat or gluten-free dough.
