Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 500 grams chicken breasts or thighs cut into bite-sized pieces

Pasta

  • 300 grams pasta penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti

Sauce and Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup sauce choose heavy cream or tomato sauce
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs basil or parsley, chopped

Seasoning

  • to taste salt and black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain, reserving half a cup of pasta water.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add onion and garlic. Cook until soft and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add your chosen sauce to the pan. Simmer gently, stirring occasionally. Add reserved pasta water if sauce thickens too much.
  • Return chicken to the pan, add pasta, and toss to coat evenly with sauce.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot.

Notes

You can customize this dish by adding vegetables like bell peppers or spinach, or try different sauces to match your taste.
