Chicken Caesar Sandwich

A delicious handheld meal combining grilled chicken, crisp romaine lettuce, creamy Caesar dressing, and Parmesan cheese, packed between slices of your favorite bread.

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Used for cooking
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning chicken

For the Sandwich

  • 4 slices bread (sourdough or whole grain) Your choice of bread
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped Fresh and crisp
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing Preferably homemade
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese For flavor and garnish
  • Optional sliced tomatoes or avocado For additional flavor
  • Optional croutons For extra crunch

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken.
  • Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
  • Toast the bread slices until golden brown.

Assembly

  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, sliced chicken, Caesar dressing, and grated Parmesan cheese. Toss everything together until evenly coated.
  • Assemble your sandwiches by placing the chicken Caesar mixture on one slice of toasted bread.
  • If desired, add sliced tomatoes or avocado on top for added flavor and texture.
  • Place the other slice of bread on top, slice in half if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

To elevate your meal, serve with a light side salad or sweet potato fries. For mini versions, prepare small sandwiches for gatherings.
