  • 4 large croissants Choose fresh, buttery croissants
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced Rotisserie chicken works well
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped Keep the greens crisp
  • ½ cup Caesar dressing Start with less dressing if concerned about sogginess
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese For added flavor
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice For a fresh touch
  • to taste Cherry tomatoes or cucumber slices Optional for added crunch

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the croissants in half lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken with Caesar dressing, black pepper, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Toss until well-coated.
  • Gently fold in the chopped romaine lettuce and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Spoon the chicken mixture onto the bottom halves of the croissants. Add cherry tomatoes or cucumber slices if desired.
  • Place the top halves of the croissants over the filled bottoms.
  • Arrange the sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake for about 5-8 minutes until warm and slightly crispy.
  • Remove from oven, slice in half if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes
