Chicken Bacon Pasta

chicken breast or thighs
diced into bite-sized pieces

bacon strips
chopped into small pieces

penne, fettuccine, or preferred type

heavy cream

garlic

Parmesan cheese
freshly grated

Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside.
Using bacon fat, cook diced chicken until golden and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside with bacon.
Sauté minced garlic in olive oil until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and stir gently.
Add Parmesan cheese gradually, stirring until melted and sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
Return chicken and bacon to skillet. Add drained pasta and toss gently. Use reserved pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.
Finish with fresh parsley garnish and serve immediately.
Notes
Feel free to add veggies like spinach or mushrooms or spice it up with red pepper flakes for variation.
