Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups shredded coconut Use unsweetened for less sweetness.
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts Optional - can use almonds, cashews, or pecans.
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips Optional.
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut and the sweetened condensed milk. Stir well until the coconut is fully coated.
  • Add the vanilla extract and salt to the mixture. If using nuts or chocolate chips, fold them into the mixture now.
  • Scoop out small portions of the mixture and shape them into clusters. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cluster.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the clusters turn golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet before transferring them to an airtight container.
