Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken, diced Can use bone-in chicken for added flavor.
  • 1 cup rice White rice is recommended, brown rice may require longer cooking.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup Provides a creamy base.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Enhances flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar is classic, try different cheeses for variation.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust seasoning as preferred.

Preparation

  • Place the diced chicken at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the uncooked rice on top of the chicken.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth, then pour over the chicken and rice.
  • Season the mixture with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the shredded cheese.
  • Once done, stir everything and serve warm.

Notes
