  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen tater tots
  • ½ cup green onions, sliced (optional) For garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef along with diced onions until the meat is browned and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  • Add minced garlic to the beef mixture and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Combine well until the cheese melts and the mixture is creamy.

Baking

  • Spread the beef and cheese mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Top the beef mixture with an even layer of frozen tater tots.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  • If desired, sprinkle sliced green onions on top before serving.
