Ingredients
  

Pasta and Sauce Base

  • 2 servings spaghetti (or your favorite pasta)
  • 2 tablespoons chili oil Adjust based on spice preference
  • 1/2 cup cream

Vegetables and Seasonings

  • 1 large red onion, thinly sliced Can substitute with yellow onion
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1-2 teaspoons Salt To taste

Garnishes

  • Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley Optional for serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Thinly slice the red onion and finely chop the garlic.
  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add 2 teaspoons of salt.
  • Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions; reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add sliced onions.
  • Cook the onions for about 6-7 minutes until golden and sweet.
  • Stir in the finely chopped garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  • Drizzle in the chili oil and mix well.
  • Lower the heat, then pour in the cream, add Italian seasoning and salt. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water.
  • Add the drained pasta to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.

Serving

  • Serve immediately, optionally garnished with Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
