Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiling water To dissolve the Jell-O.
  • 1 package (3 oz) cherry Jell-O For the main flavor.
  • 1 cup cold water To combine with the Jell-O.
  • 1 cup clear spirit of your choice For added flavor and kick.

Toppings

  • Whipped cream whipped cream For topping.
  • Crushed candy canes crushed candy canes For garnish.

Preparation

  • Begin by boiling one cup of water. Once it comes to a boil, pour it into a mixing bowl.
  • Add the cherry Jell-O package to the boiling water. Stir well until the Jell-O completely dissolves.
  • After the Jell-O is dissolved, add the cup of cold water to the mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  • Pour in your choice of clear spirit and stir the mixture again until well incorporated.
  • Carefully distribute the mixture into shot glasses or plastic cups, filling each about three-quarters full.
  • Place the filled shot glasses in the refrigerator and allow them to chill and set for about 2-4 hours.
  • Once set, top each Jell-O shot with a dollop of whipped cream.
  • Sprinkle crushed candy canes over the whipped cream for garnish.

Notes

For serving, arrange shot glasses on a festive platter. These shots can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
