Cajun Shrimp and Steak Alfredo Pasta

Ingredients
  

Pasta Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta Fettuccine is classic for Alfredo, but any pasta shape works.

Seafood and Meat Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined) Cook them until pink and opaque.
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized pieces) Choose a tender cut for the best texture.

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream Provides creaminess to the sauce.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can substitute with other cheeses for variation.
  • 3 tbsp Cajun seasoning Adjust to spice preference.
  • 4 tbsp butter Used for cooking the steak and shrimp.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Enhances flavor in the shrimp.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.

Garnish Ingredients

  • to taste Fresh parsley (chopped) Adds color and freshness.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the fettuccine, and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain the pasta and set it aside, reserving some pasta water for later.

Cooking the Steak

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
  • Season the steak pieces with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of Cajun seasoning.
  • Sear the steak in the hot skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned, then set aside.

Cooking the Shrimp

  • Add another tablespoon of butter to the skillet and toss in the shrimp.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque, seasoning with additional Cajun seasoning and garlic.

Making the Alfredo Sauce

  • Reduce heat to medium, pour in heavy cream, and stir continuously.
  • Add grated Parmesan cheese and remaining Cajun seasoning, mixing until smooth. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water as needed.

Combining Ingredients

  • Toss cooked pasta, seared steak, and shrimp into the Alfredo sauce, mixing thoroughly.

Serving the Dish

  • Dish out the pasta into bowls, garnishing with parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
