Cajun pasta is bold creamy and full of flavor. It’s perfect for a warm satisfying meal with a spicy kick and rich smooth sauce. Great for family dinners or special meals without fuss.
Boil a large pot of salted water. Add pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
Slice chicken into strips or prep your shrimp. Coat evenly with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sauté protein until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan add sliced red and yellow bell peppers. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and stir until fragrant.
Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a gentle simmer. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
Return cooked pasta and protein to the pan. Toss to coat evenly in sauce. Use reserved pasta water to loosen sauce if needed. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top before serving.
Notes
Use fresh Parmesan for richer flavor. Adjust cayenne pepper to control spice level. Prep ingredients ahead to keep cooking smooth. Pasta cooked al dente gives best texture.
