  • 6 cups chicken broth Low sodium electrolyte option if preferred.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Adjust seasoning according to preference.
  • Olive oil (for sautéing) Use enough to coat the pot.

Preparation

  • Heat a splash of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the chicken breast and cook until browned on all sides.
  • Stir in the sliced carrots and cook for a few minutes.
  • Add chopped cabbage and turmeric, mix well to combine.
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a rolling boil.

Cooking

  • Reduce heat and let the soup simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Serving

  • Ladle the soup into bowls and enjoy, optionally garnished with parsley or black pepper.
