Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, packed brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, incorporating each fully before adding the next. Add the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in the butterscotch chips gently.

Baking

  • Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 9 to 11 minutes, until edges are golden brown and centers remain soft.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
