Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • Melt the butter and allow it to cool slightly before using it.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
