Instructions
Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, and 1/3 cup corn syrup. Stir until dissolved, then bring to a boil.
Watch for the mixture to reach 300°F (hard crack stage) and then pour it onto the lined baking sheet.
Allow the candy to cool for 1-2 hours until hardened, then break it into shards.
In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup corn syrup, corn starch, and red food coloring until smooth for the blood syrup.
Drizzle the red syrup over the iced donuts and top with broken candy glass pieces.
