Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets, chopped small Steamed until tender
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella) Choose your preference
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs For binding and texture
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds flavor
  • 2 large eggs For binding
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder For flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder For flavor
  • Salt and pepper to taste To season
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for frying To cook the patties

Instructions

Preparation

  • Steam the chopped broccoli until tender but still bright green, about 3 to 5 minutes. Drain well and let it cool slightly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the steamed broccoli, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into small patties, about 2 to 3 inches in diameter.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place the patties in the skillet, cooking them in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  • Cook the patties for 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Transfer the cooked patties to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
  • Serve warm, and enjoy!

Notes

To maintain texture, drain broccoli thoroughly after steaming. Chill formed patties for 20-30 minutes before frying for better shape. Adjust spices to personal taste and keep frying heat moderate for best results.
