Ingredients
  

Beef and Marinade

  • 1 pound beef (sirloin or flank) Cut against the grain for tenderness.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce For marinating the beef.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Enhances flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch For marinating the beef.

Vegetables

  • 4 cups bok choy (washed and chopped) Provides a crunchy texture.
  • 1 medium onion (sliced) Adds sweetness.
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced) Enhances flavor.
  • 1 inch piece of ginger (grated) Adds warmth and spice.

Cooking Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For stir-frying.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil For flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips. Place the strips in a bowl and add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and allow it to marinate for about 15 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat one tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes or until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Sauté the garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the sliced onions and bell pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the vegetables start to soften.
  • Add the chopped bok choy to the skillet and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the bok choy is tender yet still crisp.
  • Return the beef to the skillet, add sesame oil, and stir everything together. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
