  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 cup yogurt (optional)

Optional Toppings

Preparation

  • Begin by combining the rolled oats and milk in a bowl or jar. Stir well to ensure the oats fully absorb the liquid.
  • Add in the fresh or frozen blueberries, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon if desired. Mix everything until it is well combined.
  • Cover the bowl or jar and place it in the refrigerator. Allow the mixture to chill overnight, or for at least 4-6 hours.

Serving

  • In the morning, stir the oats if they are in a jar, then add your desired toppings such as yogurt, nuts or seeds.
  • Enjoy your delicious, ready-to-eat breakfast straight from the jar or in a bowl.

Notes

For best texture, always use rolled oats. Customize by adding different fruits or nuts and drink alternatives for variety. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to five days.
