  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (optional for creaminess) Optional for extra creaminess

Flavors and sweeteners

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries Can substitute with other fruits
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Freshly squeezed for better flavor
  • Zest of 1 lemon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a medium-sized bowl or jar, combine the rolled oats and milk. Stir well to ensure the oats absorb the liquid evenly.
  • Add the Greek yogurt if using, and mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Incorporate the blueberries, lemon juice, lemon zest, honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir everything together until thoroughly combined.
  • Divide the mixture into individual jars or containers if desired. Make sure to seal them with lids.
  • Refrigerate the oats overnight, or for at least 4 hours, to allow the oats to soften and the flavors to meld.

Serving

  • In the morning, stir the oats and add more milk if you prefer a thinner consistency.
  • Enjoy cold or heat them slightly if you like them warm.
