Preparation

  • Place the softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl and blend until smooth and creamy using a hand mixer or whisk.
  • If using fresh blueberries, wash and pat them dry. For frozen blueberries, let them thaw and drain excess moisture.
  • Add blueberries to the cream cheese. Fold them in gently for a chunky spread or mash for a smoother consistency.
  • Mix in the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  • Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or flavor as desired.
  • Transfer to a serving dish or airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
