  • 1 oz fresh blood orange juice Use freshly squeezed for the best flavor
  • 4 oz ginger beer Adjust based on your taste preference
  • 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice Can be adjusted for tartness
  • Ice Ice cubes For chilling the drink
  • Blood orange slices for garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Preparation

  • Start by chilling your mug: Fill a copper mug with ice to chill it while you prepare the cocktail.
  • Mix the liquids: In a separate measuring cup, pour in 2 ounces of your chosen clear spirit, followed by 1 ounce of freshly squeezed blood orange juice and 1/2 ounce of lime juice. Stir gently to blend.
  • Add the ice: Remove the ice from your chilled mug, ensuring it is filled with ice.
  • Combine everything: Pour the mixture of the spirit and citrus juices over the ice-filled mug.
  • Top it off: Pour in 4 ounces of ginger beer, creating a foamy head.
  • Give it a stir: Stir gently to combine flavors without losing fizz.
  • Garnish beautifully: Top with blood orange slices and mint leaves.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy cold.
